We are preparing a survey to send to the community to get your feedback and input about what you would like to see happen at the club for our young sailors - always feel free to contact us at any time.

We are also running a "Try Foiling Day" on Sunday 25 May 2025 ! To kick off winter, we are organising a demo day with activities to highlight future sailing options for our youth sailors - including a number of foiling craft.

WSC currently has a thriving Optimist Academy and ILCA Youth Squad with the ILCA providing a viable and exciting pathway option for our junior sailors. In one year, this squad has grown from 3 members to 20 members. We have a healthy 30 Optimist Academy members moving into the 2025 season with some great results from a packed regatta schedule in 2024. with member input, last October WSC resolved to introduce a supported foiling sessions (open to all) running on Thursdays and to explore introducing the Bic Techno as a pathway to foiling for younger sailors.
