Woollahra Sailing Club is the premier windsurfing hub in Sydney. There are many opportunities for individuals and families of any age to engage in the learning, social and competitive aspects of this wonderful water sport.
Windsurfing is a surface water sport that combines elements of surfing and sailing. It consists of a board usually 2.5 to 3 meters long, with displacements typically between 60 to 250 litres; all powered by the wind and a sail. The rig is connected to the board by a free-rotating universal joint and consists of a mast, a 2-sided boom and a sail. The sail itself generally ranges from 2.5 m2 to 12 m2 depending on the conditions, the skill of the sailor, the type of windsurfing being undertaken and the windsurfers weight.
Our Instructors are Accredited Windsurfing specialists and the Club is an endorsed Australian Sailing Learn to Windsurf Centre.

Pathways:
You can start your, sailing or windsurf, journey with a private lesson, a group of four lessons or through our group training sessions.
One off private lesson - Our adult Taster Program allows you to purchase one or more private lessons. Private lessons can be purchased for an individual or a pair of participants.
Price: $205 per person or $290 ($145pp) for two people. Lessons last for two hours.
Set of four private lessons - Our Basic Skills package covers the fundamentals and is aimed at getting you on the water independently. Basic Skills lessons can be purchased for an individual or a pair of participants.
Price: $735 per person or $970 ($485pp) for two people. This provides four, two hour, lessons and additional online learning resources are provided.
